When four long-haired metal maniacs decided to form a band called TANKARD (English for beer mug) in Frankfurt am Main in 1982, none of those involved had any idea that the group would still be around more than three decades later. Let alone that the band would become the spearhead of German thrash metal.
With songs such as "Octane Warriors", "Stay Thirsty!", "When Daddy Comes to Play" and "Myevilfart", "Thirst" delivers the typical mix of uncompromising thrash metal and Tankard's inimitable humor - an absolute highlight in the long discography of the "Kings of Beer".
As with the successful re-releases of "Kings Of Beer" and "Disco Destroyer", this edition also features revised cover artwork by Kai Brockschmidt.
The album was carefully remastered by Alexander Ecker in the Pearlsound studio and brings Tankard's cult thrash sound back to CD in a powerful and contemporary way.
