HERETIC were a British Heavy Metal band formed in London, around 1979, at a time when the city was becoming a crucial hub for the rapidly expanding New Wave of British Heavy Metal. In 1984, Heretic reached a defining moment with the release of their only standalone record, the EP Burnt At The Stake, with guitarists Stu Hurwood and Karl Bruce, Martin Andrew handling bass, keyboards, and vocal duties and Spick Taylor on drums. This release encapsulated the band's musical direction, presenting a collection of tracks that balanced raw energy with melodic sensibility. Apart from the EP tracks, the CD includes the 1982 compilation track "In Time" and two Martin Andrew solo songs from 2015 that continue from where his band left off in 1984. This release includes a 6-page booklet with rare photos, memorabilia and a detailed band biography. Audio digitally remastered.
