“Possessed By Fire” was re-mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony who has been working for High Roller Records a good while now, and it comes with an additional bonus 7’’. This is something Singer Mem is completely excited about: ”For the very first time, our first demo ‘A Mortal in Black’ will be released on vinyl, and it is definitely the thing that will set this re-release apart from any other releases of ‘Possessed By Fire’ out there.”
After having been vanished from the scene for about twenty years, the re-release is only one of many signs showing that Exumer are still alive and kicking. The band already played some shows in the past couple of years, both in the States, headlining the Thrasho de Mayo festival in Los Angeles, and in Europe, where the “European Ignition Tour Part I&II” took them to Norway’s Inferno Festival and many other places in the old world. It will of course be possible to see Exumer playing live again in the future: “Yes, look out for a few European dates in March, 2013 and then check us out on some of the summer festivals and our European tour in fall.” Because, once back from the dead, Exumer are here to stay: “We will not disappear from the scene again, we promise!”

High Roller Records legen den legendären Erstling der Frankfurter Thrash-Veteranen neu auf, und wie immer bei einem High Roller-Release gibt es hier wieder erstklassige Qualität bis ins Detail.
“Possessed By Fire” wurde von Patrick W. Engel vom Temple of Disharmony remastered, der für High Roller schon so manche Scheibe auf Vordermann gebracht hat. Außerdem gibt es ein besonderes Schmankerl: Zusätzlich zum Album enthält die High-Roller-Version von “Possessed By Fire” eine Bonus-7’’. Damit wird – zum allerersten Mal – das erste Exumer-Demo “A Mortal in Black” auf Vinyl gepresst – ein Extra, das die Neuauflage von “Possessed By Fire” zum Pflichtkauf für Sammler und Fans macht!
Nachdem Exumer lange von der Bildfläche verschwunden waren, ist das Re-Release nur ein Zeichen dafür, dass die Band trotz der langen Pause immer noch lebendig, aktiv und hungrig ist. Schon in den letzten Jahren hat man sich mit eindrucksvollen Gigs zurückgemeldet – unter anderem hat man in Wacken, auf dem Thrasho de Mayo-Festival in Los Angeles und dem Inferno Festival in Norwegen abgeräumt. Und natürlich wird es auch in Zukunft wieder Gelegenheit geben, Exumer live zu erleben: Nach einigen europäischen Gigs im Frühjahr und während der Festival-Saison ist eine ausgiebige Europatour geplant. Dann gibt es “Possessed By Fire” live auf die Ohren, denn Exumer sind zurück, und dieses Mal für immer!
