When four long-haired metal maniacs decided to form a band called Tankard (English for beer mug) in Frankfurt am Main in 1982, none of those involved had any idea that the group would still be around more than three decades later. Let alone that the band would become the spearhead of German thrash metal.
To mark their 20th anniversary in 2026, Reaper Entertainment released the cult classic "The Beauty And The Beer" on CD at the end of 2025.
The album is still considered one of the absolute highlights in Tankard's long career - with timeless anthems such as "Ice-Olation", "We Still Drink The Old Ways", "The Beauty and the Beast" and the scene smash "Frankfurt: We Need More Beer". A must-buy for every fan of "Kings of Beer" thrash!
As with the successful re-releases of "Kings Of Beer" and "Disco Destroyer", this edition also features revised cover artwork by Kai Brockschmidt.
The album was carefully remastered by Alexander Ecker in the Pearlsound studio and brings Tankard's cult thrash sound back to CD in a powerful and contemporary way.
