Previously unreleased proto-metal album by this criminally forgotten UK band. Sweaty Betty were neighbours and friends of Black Sabbath and Judas Priest, all hailing from the West Midlands region of England.
The Sweatier The Bettyer, was recorded in 1974/75 and features Budgie drummer Pete Boot. Also, on vocals was future NWOBHM cult legend: Rik Staines, who went on to form Dark Star. Their debut 45: Lady of Mars is considered a classic of the genre.
After several years of strenuous research, Rise Above Relics is excited to bring this long-lost jewel from the crypts of the 1970s British underground scene. Mastered and cut from the original 1/4" tapes, it is a gargantuan feast for fans of the era.
