Risk is a German Thrash/Speed Metal band from Witten, and existed from 1987-1993. Known since 1967 as Faithful Breath, they decided to rename after changing their style from plain heavy metal to thrashy speed metal in 1986. ‘Turpitude’ was the band’s fifth and final album, originally released in 1993. Featuring singer, vocalist and producer Heimi Mikus who produced besides all Risk album also Morgoth, Despair and Raven albums) and co-produced by Detlef Mohrmann (Sacred Steel, Enola Gay, Crystal Eyes).Their first release was The Daily Horror News in 1988, then the band released LP per year in a prolific carrier up to five albums and one EP. Turpitude is by far the most dark and slower album in the bands career and metaphorical their true swan song Album.
