"A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" is the 13th longplayer by Pink Floyd. The album was originally released on September 7, 1987 and was the band's first studio album after Roger Waters left the band in December 1985.
The eleven songs were largely written by David Gilmour, who was also responsible for the production together with Bob Ezrin. The recordings took place in Gilmour's houseboat studio Astoria and in the Mayfair Studios in London.
The title "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" is a line from the song "One Slip", which is included on the long player.
The album reached number three in the UK and the USA, and number two in the charts in Germany.
