Fast forward to 2023, Graveyard have completed their latest album and memories of the gritty caginess have quickly faded. The band has evolved once again, both in terms of personnel and music. The band's sixth studio album is simply titled 6 and may be instantly recognizable as the work of Nilsson and his cohorts, but it is a very different kind of Graveyard album. The second album to feature the lineup of Nilsson, Ramm, bassist Truls Mörck and drummer Oskar Bergenheim, it is slower, more soulful, more introspective and a bit darker than its predecessors. The new songs reflect the fragile aftermath of a devastating global disease, drawing more inspiration than ever from the blues. But despite its melancholic undertones, "6" still sparkles and flashes with many moments of riff-driven euphoria. Ultimately, Graveyard works on instinct alone.
