"Made In Japan" is one of the most iconic live rock albums of all time. It was recorded spontaneously over three nights in Osaka and Tokyo in August 1972. The so-called Mark II line-up of Deep Purple delivered incredible, high-energy performances of groundbreaking songs such as "Smoke On The Water", "Highway Star", "Child In Time" and "Space Truckin'". Seven tracks were originally selected for the double album.
To celebrate the (belated) 50th anniversary of "Made In Japan, Steven Wilson sat down to create a brand new remix of the original album in stereo.
The standard black 2LP vinyl version will include Steven Wilson's new stereo mix. Mastered by Andy Pearce.
