Description

Peaceville, 5 tape box, On the occasion of the 30th anniversary in 2023 of the genre classic "Under A Funeral Moon", the True Black Metal era of the Norwegian pioneers is also honored with this special limited edition box set with five cassettes. This collection contains what has always been considered the unholy trinity of Darkthrone albums, namely 1992's iconic "A Blaze In The Northern Sky," "Under A Funeral Moon" (1993) and "Transilvanian Hunger" (1994). It also includes 1995's legendary "Panzerfaust", often considered a "missing link", which now stands proudly and rightfully alongside these works as a quartet of timeless and highly regarded black metal masterpieces. As an added bonus, the set also includes the release "The Wind Of 666 Black Hearts", which features Darkthrone's rare samples of "A Blaze In The Northern Sky" and "Under A Funeral Moon". The included 40-page booklet contains rare photos from this period of the band, as well as a text describing Darkthrone's chapter in the early mid-90s from the previous book release "Black Death & Beyond", along with specially compiled articles about this period. Additionally, "Unholy Black Metal" includes two posters in the form of the "Taakeferd" and "Ferdasyn" paintings from "Under A Funeral Moon" and "Transilvanian Hunger" respectively, as well as eight photo prints and a certificate of authenticity.
