Cro-Mags are a legendary New York band formed in the early 1980s and widely regarded as one of the key names in hardcore/metal crossover. With albums such as The Age of Quarrel and Best Wishes, they fused the urgency of New York hardcore with thrash metal riffs, heavy grooves and a distinctive streetwise/spiritual attitude. Their influence has been massive across both the NYHC scene and heavier, more aggressive forms of metal.
