With their evil, haunting atmospheres - BATTALION were combining the best elements of early day thrash/speed metal with a slower, doomish vibe. You can hear influences drawing from Artillery, Slayer, Venom, Nasty Savage and Celtic Frost. In their short existence, they recorded two demotapes (1986-1987) both included in this collection, sourced and mastered from the original 1/4" reels.
