A milestone release, the band's second album, released in 1996 saw Bal-Sagoth create the template they would build upon with subsequent releases, with a bigger production and more epic and triumphant sounding songwriting. Starfire... put the English epic metal legends on the map and would have a huge influence on many metal bands that arose later, and remains an otherworldly, eccentric and stirring masterpiece.
