"Alice In Chains" debuted at number 1 in the Billboard 200 charts and remained in the charts for almost a year. The tracks "Grind", "Heaven Beside You" and "Again" were released as singles. The album was certified double platinum by the RIAA and has sold over three million copies worldwide. It was the band's last album with singer Layne Staley, who died of a drug overdose in 2002.
