Founded in 1982, ADX established itself as one of the leading forces of the French speed metal scene. Since the release of its debut album, Exécution, in 1985, the band has forged a unique identity blending catchy melodies, thrash-driven power, and stories inspired by history and fantasy. Over the decades, ADX has maintained remarkable consistency, both in the studio and on stage, performing across France and internationally, as well as at major festivals such as Hellfest and Motocultor Festival.
Today, ADX is looking to the future with 13ème Choc. From the very first songwriting sessions, inspiration naturally led the band toward a more aggressive and thrash-oriented approach. Without abandoning its identity or its anthemic choruses, ADX chose to harden its musical edge and explore new levels of intensity. Driven by sharper, more incisive guitar work, 13ème Choc reflects a desire for renewal while remaining faithful to the band’s DNA. The lyrics continue to explore historical and fantastical themes, a hallmark of ADX since its earliest days. More than just a new album, 13ème Choc showcases a seasoned and inspired band, still driven by the same passion that has fueled its journey for over four decades.
