ACHERON was founded in 1988 by vocalist/bassist/songwriter Vincent Crowley after he left Nocturnus. There 1992 debut album Rites of the Black Mass’ was recorded at Morrisound Studios is still considered as a mile stone of US death / black metal. ACHERON is well known for its unique and recognizable death / black metal style and sound and considered as one of the best US death / black metal bands. "Those Who Have Risen” is a natural follower to all previous Acheron recordings and released in 1998. Line up was: Ben Meyer Guitars (Nasty Savage), Vincent Crowley (Vocals, Bass, Guitars), Michael Estes - lead Guitars (Resurrection and Tiwanaku) and Tony Laureano on drums (Brujeria, Nile, Malevolent Creation & Cannibal Corpse live and Megadeth's drum tech since 2011). Guest vocals by no one less then David Vincent (Morbid Angel, I am Morbid, Terrorizer) and George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (Cannibal Corpse , ex Monstrosity). Completely restored and newly designed booklet with liner notes form Vincent Crowley and rare and old pictures . Bonus are four tracks from the ‘Live Demo 1998’ which was never officially released before.
