Aborted are a Belgian death metal band formed in 1995 and led by vocalist/founder Sven de Caluwé, the group’s only constant member. Known for their brutal, technical and horror-driven approach, the band evolved from death/grind roots into one of Europe’s most recognizable extreme metal acts. Key releases include Goremageddon, The Archaic Abattoir, Retrogore, ManiaCult and 2024’s Vault of Horrors, released via Nuclear Blast. Strychnine.213 is the work in which the Belgian band pushes its death metal/grind sound into an even more surgical, modern and brutal form, with a powerful and razor-sharp production.
