Originally released in 1981, this album captures the band at a creative high point. Fresh from the success of 1980's No Place To Run, this self-produced effort continued the band's shift towards more melodic radio-friendly songs, with increased use of keyboards and layered production, reflecting early 80s rock trends.
The new deluxe edition features the original album remixed, bonus material and a brand-new mix of the previously unreleased Live at the Hammersmith Odeon, an electrifying show that captures UFO's energy on stage. Liner notes come from Michael Hann and feature new interviews with Phil Mogg and Andy Parker, plus previously unseen photographs from the era.
The Wild, The Willing and The Innocent (Deluxe Edition) will be released on 1st May on 2CD, 3LP and digital formats.
LONELY HEART (LIVE ON TOP OF THE POPS, 1981)
Lonely Heart was the first single release from The Wild, The Willing and The Innocent and is reflective of the album's radio friendly style: melodic rock with classic guitar riffs. The band's performance on BBC's Top of the Pops from 1981 will be released to YouTube in line with the announcement.
