Description
Chrysalis, black vinyl, triple gatefold, remastered

Chrysalis Records releases UFO's classic 1980 album "No Place To Run", remastered from the original production tapes at AIR Mastering and released on three LPs in 180g vinyl format (tri-fold) and two CDs in digipack format.
"No Place To Run" was UFO's eighth studio album and the first with Paul Chapman on guitar after the departure of Michael Schenker. It was produced by legendary BEATLES producer George Martin and recorded at his newly opened AIR Studios in Montserrat in the Caribbean - a marked difference to the band's usual environment.
looking back on the album 45 years later, UFO singer Phil Mogg said: "What I remember about the recording of 'No Place To Run' was the complete disconnect between UFO and George Martin (who was a nice guy). Nothing summed it up better than George's words to Geoff (sound engineer): 'So, Geoff, it's six o'clock, time for a gin and tonic on the veranda.' How civilized!"
The reissue includes a new and previously unreleased mix of "Live At The Marquee, London, November 16, 1980", mixed by renowned engineer Brian Kehew from the original multitrack tapes, creating a powerfully fresh sound. Only three tracks have been officially released ("Lettin' Go", "Mystery Train" and "No Place To Run"). The other eleven tracks from this legendary show were previously unavailable. The set takes fans back to the electrifying atmosphere of the Marquee - with a band in top form. Kehew said: "Paul Chapman's guitar sound is truly outstanding, a rich, singing B.C. Rich-into-Marshall sound..
'No Place To Run' undoubtedly marks a special time for the band, the height of their popularity. While the music world around them was shifting towards new wave and synth-pop, they stayed true to their roots and delivered another classic album." (Quote from the liner notes.)
Both formats include new liner notes by Michael Hann with interviews with Mogg and drummer Andy Parker.
