Today, we announce the debut album of a band destined to add a golden page to the grand book of the Heavy Metal pantheon: the mighty Sanctum Pyre.

Formed in 2025, Sanctum Pyre released two singles as the first glimpses of their potential. The impact was immense from the very first listen, prompting the Steel Gallery team to waste no time in approaching the band to bring their exceptional debut album to fruition.

Musically, the band blends Heavy and Power Metal, placing strong emphasis on Eastern scales and cultivating an exotic dimension within their sound. The result is an intricate fusion of lyricism and epic grandeur reminiscent of bands like Crimson Glory and Arrayan Path, all delivered with the unmistakable personal signature of Sanctum Pyre.

At the helm of Sanctum Pyre stands Nikos Tzouannis (keyboards), responsible for all compositions, orchestration, and lyrics. On vocals, we find the great Rob Lundgren (Echosoul, Mentalist, Reveal, Epilog), while Mike G. handles guitars and bass and is also responsible for the drum programming.

The album also features special guest appearances. On “Daughter Of The Wind,” Thomas Karam (Noor, Exxûl) delivers a formidable duet alongside Shlomit Levi (Orphaned Land).

Exclusively for the Steel Gallery Records CD edition, the bonus track “The Veil Is Torn” is included, once again featuring Thomas Karam delivering one of his finest performances as guest vocalist.

The marvelous front cover was created by Carlos Fides (Evergrey, Narnia, Shaman).

“He Who Remains” is far more than a mere debut; it heralds the rise of a band destined to leave a profound mark on the Heavy Metal scene.
