Pink Floyd Records, The comprehensive review of the early years of Pink Floyd. In 2016, Pink Floyd present "The Early Years 1965 - 1972." To do so, the band dove deep into their vast music archive, all the way back to the early beginning of their career, to produce a 27-disc deluxe box set in seven individual book-style sleeves that includes never-before-released material. The box set includes recordings for television, BBC sessions, unreleased tracks, outtakes and demos with a total playing time of an incredible 12 hours and 33 minutes of audio (with 130 tracks in total) and more than 15 hours of video footage. Included are more than 20 unreleased songs and seven hours of never-before-released live audio plus five hours of rare concert footage, as well as several meticulously produced 7" singles in authentically recreated sleeves, collector's memorabilia, feature films and new sound mixes. Among the previously unreleased tracks are "Vegetable Man" from 1967 and "In The Beechwoods," remixed for this release. "The Early Years 1965 - 1972" will give collectors the opportunity to trace the band's evolution from their earliest recordings to the sessions in the years leading up to "The Dark Side Of The Moon," one of the best-selling albums of all time, and how Pink Floyd played their part in a cultural revolution. From the single "Arnold Layne" to the 20-minute epic "Echoes," fans can trace the invention of psychedelic progressive rock. The insightful collection explores the Pink Floyd story from the time Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Nick Mason and Syd Barrett met at London's Regent Street Polytechnic until Syd Barrett left the band and David Gilmour completed the iconic lineup. In addition to the deluxe set, the double-CD highlights album "The Early Years 1965 - 1972 Cre / ation" will also be released on November 11 via Pink Floyd Records. Each of the different in book form segments will also be available individually at the beginning of 2017, except for "Bonus Continuation", which is exclusively available only as part of the box set.
