By 1990, Overdrive had entered one of the most interesting and productive phases of their long career. Having originally emerged from Grantham, Lincolnshire, during the formative years of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, the band had already experienced several incarnations and name changes throughout the 1980s before re-establishing themselves under the Overdrive banner in the late decade. In March 1990, Overdrive released their long-awaited debut album, Dishonest Words, now reissued on Faster And Louder Records limited to 300 copies with audio digitally remastered. The album represented the culmination of more than a decade of perseverance, setbacks and musical development. The CD contains original eight album songs plus the 1989 two song demo tape. Including an 8-page booklet with rare photos and memorabilia, being an essential historical document for all NWOBHM fans.
