The Swedish band Bullet was formed in the fall of 2001 to play a traditional heavy metal inspired by the late 1970s and early 1980s: solid, authentic, and classic, yet with a contemporary and timeless touch. Seven years after their last studio album, 'Dust To Gold' (2018), musicians Dag "Hell" Hofer (vocals), Hampus Klang (guitar), Gustav Hector (bass), Gustav Hjortsjö (drums), and their new addition Freddie Johansson (guitar) are now back with a new album: 'Kickstarter' will be released on January 9, 2026, via Steamhammer, proving that Bullet remains firmly committed to continuing their nearly 25-year career with the kickstart implied in the album title. This also includes their iconic tour bus, whose engine exploded after one of the final shows, leaving the musicians to make the return journey without their mobile home. Of course, this was neither the end of Bullet nor the end of their battered vehicle; quite the opposite: The band's classic heavy metal spirit and unwavering DIY mindset are stronger than ever. With strong determination, oil-stained hands, and sweaty foreheads, the aging bus was repaired and is now ready to hit the ground running again with Kickstarter.
The band says of the first single, "Kickstarter": "The choice of the first single was a natural one. During his time in the band, Ben presented an idea that later became 'Kickstarter.' At the time, the song was still nameless and was given various working titles throughout the recording process. During the recording process, it was dubbed 'Kickstarter' and became the obvious album opener and the first single. As soon as you hear the first snare hit followed by that bulldozer of a guitar riff, you'll know why!"
