Originally released in 1999, The Halls of Eternity marked a monumental chapter for the Norwegian black metal pioneers Ancient. Led by multi-instrumentalist Aphazel and featuring the fiercely distinct vocals of Deadly Kristin, this album perfectly blends raw, melodic black metal aggression with atmospheric, gothic undertones. Often cited as one of the band's most ambitious and cohesive works, this record remains an essential staple of late-90s extreme metal history.
